This guide will help you install, configure, and use the Kotaqx License Whitelist for EDD plugin. Follow the steps below to get started!
Installation Guide (Manual Installation)
- Download the Plugin
- Download the latest version of plugin as a .zip file.
- Upload to WordPress
- Go to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
- Navigate to Plugins > Add New.
- Click Upload Plugin and select the downloaded .zip file.
- Click Install Now and wait for the installation to complete.
- Activate the Plugin
- Once installed, click Activate Plugin to enable Kotaqx License Whitelist for EDD.
License Activation
- In the WordPress Admin Dashboard, navigate to:
Downloads > License Whitelist - Input your License Key and click Activate License.
(You can get your license key in your email upon purchase, or check My Account).
Important Note About B2B Usage (Developers vs. Their Clients)
Because this plugin is designed for B2B licensing, the following assumptions apply:
- Developers who purchase this plugin usually want their clients to control the URL whitelist
(via the client’s Dashboard → My Account → Manage Sites). - Your plugin enables URL whitelisting per license, meaning the license owner (the client of your customer) decides which URLs are allowed.
However, if a developer wants to enforce their own product-level domain restrictions, for example:
“I want my digital product to be activated only on certain URLs defined by me, not by my clients.”
this is not supported at this time.
Your plugin handles license-level whitelist management, not product-level deployment restrictions.
